My son was a gift from God and I did my best. This written testimony is to honor a dream that woke me up on May 16, 2026. It has been ten years since my son’s death. My comfort is knowing that Jason is now with Jesus. 1 Samuel 1:27-28 “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give my child to the Lord.” All our days were written down even before we are born, and the Deceiver is ever among us. Wisdom warns us to be alert, and sober minded as the enemy of the soul of mankind seeks to kill and destroy. But God, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus not only removed us from Satan’s power, but He restored us to our royal position as adopted heirs to the throne of God. The correct view of redemption is to understand the Greek word used for redemption. Agorizo, a technical term that is used to describe the slave market. When Jesus entered the world, humans were auctioned off like animals, or unwanted junk. To discover the slave’s temperament, buyers slapped them, cursed at them, and spat in their faces. In short, slaves of Satan have no personal worth. Humans are just a necessary workhorse that has no value. The slaves only purpose in the world is to serve the demands of their owner before Christ. The Holy Spirit tells us something important by using the word agorizo to describe redemption. When Jesus Christ came into the world, the world was a global slave market. Today Satan still perverts the hearts of mankind as he fills their sinful nature with violence and evil desires. With each successive generation after Adam, spiritual death drove people of all nations, tribes, and ethnic groups deeper into slavery and total depravity. But God in His mercy, reversed the eternal destiny of the enslaved who trust in Jesus.

The world that Jesus Christ was born into nearly 2,000 years ago was a world of complete captivity. Through Adam’s disobedience, the spiritual death had seized the nature of all mankind. Jesus entered into a spiritual slave market where human beings lived their entire lives on the earth as slaves to Satan. Romans 7:14 “We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.” The word sold is from the Greek word paprasco, and it describes a transfer of property. Mankind had been transferred from the hands of God into the hands of a new owner. The Truth interrupted Satan’s total ownership of us before Jesus Christ came into our lives. Like slaves we stood helpless before the devil as he slapped our lives around, spitting upon us, and abusing us in every way he possibly could. He deeply deceives as he infiltrates souls with lies to damage our self-image, to kill our bodies with various kinds of world accepting sin. He binds us through drinking, lying, sexual perversion, and pride. Satan’s hellish ownership took us deep as captives to sin. The Bible says that this was our condition before the grace of God touched our lives. Jesus was almost pushed from a cliff in His hometown for reading Isaiah’s words. “I’ve come to set the captives free.”

Romans 6:17-19 “But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set FREE from SIN and have become SLAVES to RIGHTEOUSNESS. I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to OFFER yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now OFFER yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.” AMEN

God gave the world His only Son, and Jason was my only child. James 5:16 “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” God woke me up with a disturbing dream of kids being kidnapped for evil purposes. Our children are being sold into slavery by all sorts of lies. The master slave trader is cunning. He entices the innocent with whispers, “Join the cool crowd, be liked, be loved, be popular.” The battle of substance abuse (sugar, pizza and beer, marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, hoarding riches, entertainment, sex) any addiction destroys God’s intended peace in a family. Our heavenly Father watches and His Spirit is a Guide, a Counselor, and our reliable source of wisdom. A parent’s prayer of trust in God is powerfully effective. Never give up!

Hebrews 11:6 “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” The generational curse of alcohol had wreaked havoc on both sides of our family. Jason’s grand parents on both sides died in their addictions. The Spirit of God led me to enroll my son into “Teen Challenge” a one year camp of recovery. In recovery all the youth had daily prayer and duties. Clean and sober, Jason returned to the same circle of dark influencers. His enlarged heart was permanently damaged. Paul wrote, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:3 All humanity lives and walks in the flesh and then dies. We eat, exercise, breathe, sleep, and we think in the flesh. As believers, we cling to truth knowing that our corrupted bodies will someday be gloriously transformed into a new spiritual body. With my son laboring to breathe in ICU, I knew to seek God’s supernatural assistance. By His grace Jason’s life was extended three times. Every city in every nation is now a citadel of sensuality and demonic activity. As a front-line soldier of the Lord, we know that our emotions will lead us to doubt God. We must pray BELIEVING that our eternal victory is in Gods mighty hands. Regardless of how impressive our knowledge of God might be, no matter how loud we roar, by ourselves, without God, we will be defeated by Satan’s evil schemes. We must have FAITH, and rely on the living and active Word of God.

Jason was an athlete in his youth. At the age of 10, he was the star on his Quail Lakes swim team. His name was on the Sports page of the Stockton Record during his high school years at Saint Mary’s and at Lincoln High. His circle of innocents were led astray by the temptor. The parties after football games included all kinds of worldly pleasures. Our gift of life is not a game, but a treasure. 1 Peter 5:8 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” My son’s heart took a beating and he ended up in ICU on three separate occasions. The doctors had little hope, but momma was at his bedside praying. God heard and Jason survived, but he was sent home with many pills to keep his body working. Thanks to Jesus, even though Jason struggled, his eternal life in victory gives us all hope.

John 15:7-10 “If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples. “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. If you keep My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love.” Our part is to remain connected to the true Vine, Jesus Christ.

When we were following the ways of this world, we were actually deceived by the devil who is ruler of the kingdom of the air. That seductive evil spirit is at work in all those who deny God in order to live in disobedience. Before our transformative encounter with Jesus as Lord, we were also dead in our sins. “ALL of us once lived among them at one time, GRATIFYING the cravings of our FLESH and FOLLOWING its DESIRES and THOUGHTS. Like the rest, we were BY NATURE DESERVING of WRATH. But because of HIS great LOVE for us, GOD, who is RICH in MERCY, made us ALIVE with CHRIST even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by GRACE you have been SAVED.” Ephesians 2:3-5

By God’s grace my son’s life still impacts many others. Jason was torn between the pleasures of the flesh and submitting to the Way of God. In the end, he fully surrendered and he is now in heaven. When his aunt Sue called me in Mexico to report Jason’s death, God comforted me as I lay in bed crying. I heard Jason’s voice very clearly. “Momma don’t worry, I’m walking with Jesus.” Our God is faithful!

Mothers watch over your children and grandchildren in prayer.Proverbs 31:25-28 “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” AMEN

The living Word of God is still active.

Our Father calls us to remember His Son Jesus as we take communion. This is My body, take this broken bread in remembrance of My loving sacrifice for you. The name of God, Elohim means Mighty, most powerful One. “Let US make mankind in OUR IMAGE, according to OUR likeness.” Genesis 1:26 Elohim is plural

So when we pray in the name of Elohim we include the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Call on the fullness of God as you pray. Lay down your burdens and trust God.

A beautiful tribute to an amazing son. I loved his laugh and big smile!! Precious memories for you, Momma! Comfort knowing he is resting with Jesus! Sending my love, hugs and prayers!🙏🥰❤️❤️❤️
