Could you say that the church of Jesus Christ fears God? Are they unified in Christ? Why Not? The church of today does not teach about fearing God and His wrath. “The Word of the Lord came to me; “I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born.” God told Jeremiah to speak whatever God told him and to not be afraid of anyone, for God would deliver him. Jeremiah knew that if God said He would deliver him, there was going to be trouble. God touched his mouth and said “I have now filled your mouth with My words.” Jeremiah announced to Jerusalem “I remember the loyalty of your youth, your love as a bride — how you followed Me…but then the people stopped asking “where is the Lord”. The priests stopped asking “Where is the Lord?” …God’s people had exchanged their God for useless idols. God’s judgement was deserved for they did did not believe what the prophet said, they were too comfortable with the way of the world. Today in 2022 the globe is filled with people and leaders who do not fear the wrath of God, nor do they fear God. Only the King of kings — not a president or a prime minister will reign righteously. Isaiah 33:6 “He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.” Our Father disciplines those He loves as His Word warns mankind. The fear of the Lord combines trembling and rejoicing. Are you EXCITED about getting the very best counsel on any subject – direct from God? “The secret counsel of the Lord is for those who FEAR Him and He reveals His covenant to them.” Psalm 25:14 — God also says “A fool speaks falsely about God, he leaves the hungry empty and he deprives the thirsty of drink. He hatches plots to destroy the needy with lies.” Isaiah chapter 32—Be Ye Humble
Pay attention to what the Spirit says.”The FEAR of the LORD prolongs life.” Proverbs 10:27 — Be warned against stiff arming God. “Since I called out and you refused, I extended My hand and no one paid attention, since you neglected all My counsel and did not accept My correction, I, in turn, will laugh at your calamity. I will mock when terror strikes you.” Psalm 25:12 “Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord?” Proverbs 14:26 “In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence” Proverbs 22:4 “The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.” Isaiah 31 “Like hovering birds, so the Lord of Hosts will protect Jerusalem —by protecting it, He will rescue it, by sparing it, He will deliver it. For on THAT DAY, every one of you will REJECT the silver and gold idols that your own hands have sinfully made. Then Assyria will fall, but not by human sword. This is the Lord’s declaration – whose fiery furnace is in Jerusalem.” Do you fear the wrath of God? Do we fear the power, majesty and justice of God? If you have diligently searched the Scriptures seeking the knowledge of God with fear and trembling, you would have discovered that pride, arrogance, disobedience and a lack of FEAR OF GOD is what our Father does not tolerate. Isaiah 33:6 “The FEAR of the Lord is God’s treasure.” Psalms 34:11 “Come, ye children, hearken unto Me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.” Psalm 2:11 AMP “Serve the Lord with reverent awe and worshipful fear; rejoice and be in high spirits with trembling. (lest you displease Him.)
Proverbs 23:17 “Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always, all day long — be zealous or passionate for the fear of the Lord.” Does the church fear God? Is there times during the day, when we operate without the fear of God? Remember that our Father treasures those who fear Him with AWE. The FEAR of the LORD is NOT the fear of mankind’s opinion, or a natural fear, like fight or flight. It is NOT a demonic spirit of fear which torments. 2 Timothy 1:7 “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid or fearful, but He gives us power, love and self-discipline.” God is love and there is no fear in perfect love. God tells us to worship in spirit, and with awe of Who He is. ❤️ Proverbs 2:1-6 “My child, if you accept My words and store up My commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, IF you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and IF you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, THEN you will understand the FEAR of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” ❤️ Every knee will bow, but not all that were called will escape the justified wrath of God. To incline our ear to hear and obey, we must bow our head only to God. Be still — and wait to receive a check in our spirit from the Holy Spirit, to be led into ALL truth—get a personal word. Why are there so many divisions, or denominations of faith? God gives “faith” as a gift to all people, not by race, or by church attendance. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Eph 2:8 – GRACE through FAITH — what a powerful double GIFT. If we freely choose to separate ourselves from those people who express their faith differently, do we not grieve the Holy Spirit who is all about unifying us “in Him” for the glory of God? We do NOT fear God or honor His name by our choice to divide. No “brand” of church is perfect. The common denominator in Christianity is our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. The definition of denominator is a number below the line, a common fraction, a divisor. Jesus is not our divisor, He is the Savior, the One God, who desires that NOT one person be left out. The Fear of God should rattle the soul of each person who claims to follow the example of Jesus. Who do we fear disappointing? Our pastor, our preacher, our priest? Holiness and the fear of God cannot be separated. We are called to be holy as He is holy and we cannot be holy without the fear of God. Jesus the son of man claimed to be the Messiah. Jesus is One with the Father (John 10:30). Jesus demonstrated His power over demons, over nature, over death and spirits of evil. The WRATH of GOD is just as real as the LOVE of GOD. Did Jesus exist before His birth on earth? “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 Jesus existed from eternity, as the Alpha and Omega. “Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created…” Colossians 1:15-17. Do all denominations agree with the theology of preexistence? NO! Googling Denominations I discovered a number of ways we are NOT united in Christ. Christianity – 2.42 billion believers
- Catholic Church – 1.285 billion.
- Protestantism – 900 million.
- Eastern Orthodox Church – 270 million.
- Oriental Orthodoxy – 86 million.
- Restorationism and Nontrinitarianism – 35 million.
- Independent Catholicism – 18 million.
- Minor branches – 1 million
Jesus asked His followers “Who do you say I am?” An exceptional man? A scholarly teacher? A holy prophet? Either Jesus is the Son of God or else a madman, a lunatic, or a liar. Can UNITY in our FAITH in Jesus Christ as Lord of all be restored? Are we fervently praying for His church to UNIFY? Would our genuine prayers to be the “the mind of Christ” in this world glorify His name, His will, His purpose in our salvation? David wrote Psalm 8:3-6 “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor. You made Him (Jesus) ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under His feet….O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth.” We were ALL created in the image of God to be His friends, His servants. “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15 YES, we are the friends of Jesus, but let us not EVER take JESUS for granted! Let us not become so familiar that we forget to FEAR WHO HE IS.
Our Lord Jesus knows how fickle our hearts are and how easily we can be deceived. He knows that our best efforts to please Him fall short because we are prone to lie, to rebel, to disobey and disrespect His word and ways. We gossip, we prostitute our faith by giving our time and attention to the dumb down tube, or to our pleasures over HIM. We transgress and naturally, as we lean on our own understanding, we violate the moral standards set up by God. In other words we are all sinners saved by God’s grace, which is a gift from God. If we continue to separate ourselves from people who are different than we are, we can never come to pray for them, to appreciate their needs, or their hearts for Jesus. A test for all is to see how we follow Jesus in that He loves everyone, the same, no matter what denomination, or what method of baptism, or worship style they prefer or practice. If we want to be victorious in our journey of sharing Jesus, we must unify as His church body. God hates pride. It is pride and a spirit contrary to God that keeps us from wanting to fellowship with other Christians.. For those who say they read their Bible and they do not need to attend church, God says “study the scriptures”. Hebrews 10:35 “Do NOT neglect meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another — and all the more as you see THE DAY approaching.” All the signs are lining up for His return and God knows that we are easily deceived – so go to church and remain accountable and OBEDIENT to His word, with fear and trembling.

Did Jesus suffer and choose to die only for those who worshipped Him in “their” preferred way?
Justification is the process of being made right in one’s relationship to God. Righteousness is a right relationship with God, and righteousness cannot be earned, it can only be given, and given by God. We are adopted and given the gift of a saving faith. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”
1 Corinthians 3:5-9 The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Old Testament is the history of man being prepared to receive Jesus. God gives us specific orders, His system, or His arrangement; administration or dispensation of His law, His will, His ways. The New Testament reflects the history of Jesus fulfilling God’s law. Scripture is “useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.” Training in the right way to be in relationship with God, to counsel us regarding our conduct and lifestyle choices. The Bible has been tested and found to be the reliable Word to affect change in the hearts of man. Let us repent from our self-reliance and return to God with fear and trembling. Let us represent the name of Jesus well as the next generation is watching. God is not impressed with our accomplishments, our education — our Father knows our hearts and He looks to the inside, NOT our outward appearance. Lord God Almighty, I ask that Your Holy Spirit saturate the hearts of this generation. That every reader of this post will be convicted and ASK You to personally increase their FAITH, their OBEDIENCE and their FEAR of the Lord. AMEN
