Accept the mission of God Almighty to be chosen for His glory. When we surrender to God, it is like the Holy Spirit lifts the veil so that we can see beyond the visible into that which is indestructible, and imperishable. The prophet Isaiah was not called by God because he was worthy. God warned Isaiah that the message he would preach would fall on deaf ears. God persists speaking love and warning over all nations while we continue to sin, rebel and reject God’s Way and His warnings. God used an ordinary, unworthy man to speak His message to an ungrateful people. Likewise, our Father enrolled us into His plan to speak His message, to water the seed, than step back and watch the King make the faith we watered grow into a hunger that only He can satisfy.

The HEADS and TAILS of a life in Christ: God continues to call us into relationship with Him even when we pridefully feel as though we are worthy of His approval. We vacillate between self-deceptive thinking that we deserve His love based on our good behavior or works — and a halting insecurity as we are aware of our unworthiness of His grace and daily mercies. Heads or tails, our focus is on us —rather than on God. The King of the universe calls us because He loves us. It has nothing to do with us —-and everything to to with His will, His perfection, His Way, His consistent character. Mary Magdalene was called out of a dark lifestyle which resulted in demon possession. Mary did not EARN the Saviors help! Mary was chosen and it was God’s initiative to have Jesus deliver her in spite of who she was. Contrast Mary’s life with Nicodemus — a man pretty confident of his spiritual worthiness. Nic felt worthy of God’s calling on his life. Then we look at Matthew, a man despised for his cheating ways. A person busy living for himself as he pursued his career and acquired riches. Matthew was indifferent, but God chose a self-absorbed man. A boasting fisherman named Simon Peter was prideful, arrogant and self-sufficient, but God called Simon the Rock as if he already were. All this to say that we are individually valuable to God, not because we attend church, read our Bible or volunteer at the Red Cross. We were created uniquely different — for His purpose. He loves us as we are and when we get that life “in Christ” is about Him and not us — we become useful servants of the King.

Isaiah 6:3 “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.” Our holy God calls us into His service, adopts us as His own, and equips us for His purpose. Every word of the Bible reflects who God is. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed. The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. All words were penned by scribes hand picked by God to reveal Who our Creator is and His love for us. May we be in AWE and fall to our knees with thanksgiving for being created in His likeness, for being formed in our mother’s womb, to be of use in His kingdom. May we read the Word of God with awe as we listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to us. AMEN and AMEN. “Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard. The ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law. Ezra blessed the Lord, the King of the universe, and all the people answered, “Amen, Amen.” They bowed their heads and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground. Ezra the priest read the law from early morning until midday.” Nehemiah chapter 8 ESV Affirm the Good
