A Valentine for All

Happy-Valentines-DayValentine’s day is a day that we declare our Love to someone! As we consider how we can show love to others who have been kind to us, to all those who have shown mercy and grace towards us…let us not FAIL to consider the One who created us, the One who continues to holds us close, the One who loves us beyond our capacity to understand, the One who will never forsake those who believe in Him.  Who is like Him? No human! People disappoint us, but God, our Father in heaven never lies to us! If you wonder what the Truth is, you may want to ask a few questions like; how can a person be secure in Christ? Is a relationship with God, the Creator of heaven and earth even 991c8a4f1fd696f97e2b170e33e18cf0bd5b9795possible?  Can a person trust in the promises of God? Is God’s love everlasting? What shall a person Consider, Confess, and Believe as Truth?   Glad you asked! First of all consider His living Word “For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13 – “Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One form us both within our mothers?” Job 31:15. “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being.” Rev 4:11 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything. Rather, He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.” Acts 17:14-25 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 “Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the 47545-love-1john31law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.” Romans 3:20  “As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands;  there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” Romans 3:10-12 “Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous,  no one who does what is right and never sins.” Ecclesiastes 7:20 “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His Valentine-two-cherubs-with-red-hearts_0word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10  “You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.” Ezekiel 28:15 “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray,  each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Him (Jesus)  the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:5-6 “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.  But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.” Colossians 1:21-22. 15  “Search me, God, and know my heart;  test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me,  and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Eph 2:8-9 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to giphybe holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will—  to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves.  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,  He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.” Ephesians 1:3-10 “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,  because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” James 1:19 -23  People who have been deeply wounded by the “frailty of human love”, the scars are a constant reminder of loss or betrayal. God’s love stands in stark contrast: infinite, unconditional, unchanging, steadfast and strong. Wounded and weary hearts are invited to find healing in His love. And His healing brings J❤️Y!  52426151_2094597383952584_4079630877162733568_n“She gave this name to the Lord (El Roi) who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me, for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13 Hagar was a slave, an outcast, the maid servant of Abraham, the mother of his first son Ishmael which means God hears. The name Hagar means the one who runs.  Hagar ran into the desert, and our loving God spoke to her four times. Hagar felt hurt, unwanted, rejected and all alone. Our Father in heaven is the One who consistently pursues us. He follows us with faithful goodness waiting for us to turn to Him. He sees us and He knows when we feel lonely and unloved. God did not leave Hagar alone in her troubles, and He does not leave us alone to fend for ourselves.  He sees us when we think we are invisible and that nobody cares. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39 “Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.” Mark 8:25 – Oh Lord, I surrender all that I have, and all that I am to You.  Holy Spirit come into my heart, and heal my body and mind. Increase my faith in Jesus, as my Lord and Savior.  Give me eyes that see clearly, and a heart that yearns to learn more about the justice and goodness of God. AMEN – and so it is! romans-8-39_0001

  1. “You Say” lyrics by Lauren Daigle –
I keep Fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, You say that I am Yours
And I believe, oh I believe
    What You say of me
    I believe
The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity, (ooh oh)
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, You say that I am Yours.
