Outdoor Fun

Calendar time ourdoors with friends along the shore of lake Chapala. On April 13, 2024 it is a marvelous day at 75 F at 10 AM. Two pools, a cafe, a pickle ball court, and plenty of shade. The rainy season begins in June, so plan a couple of Saturday mornings to join folks at the pool. Bring your stories, your weekly insights, and your favorite game. Your cards, a towel, a bathing suit. Park your car, get water at OXXO, walk into reception at Monte Carlo and get a bracelet.

The cost is 150 pesos for a day pass. The girls will band your wrist as a guest. Exit office building and walk the red paved corridor to last staircase down. Enjoy the breezy, refreshing vista!

About 30 pickleball players have been scoring since 8 am. Select your table around two pools, bring your best read, and gaze upon the beauty that God designed especially for us to enjoy.

I’m under the tree next to “Bar Hippe”.  In the afternoon a waiter will take your drink or food orders and deliver. It’s a HABIT to get outside during the hotter months and get some extra vitamin D, fresh air, and an hour of aerobic pool time.

I’ve got my book, the local paper and my backgammon board. Join me any Saturday that you are game for a relaxing, fun day. Zero reservations required.

Share the goodness, bring a friend 🧡 and renew your spirit with a bit of laughter. Swim a few long laps and splash around. Life is GREAT, when we choose JOY!

Annual Beach time is a lavish provision to alleviate allergies, but there is nothing like spending time with friends at home. One day at a time, with extended moments to enjoy.

Pickle ball games are subject to additional fee and membership. Inquire inside.

  1. ECLIPSE HANGOVER -Yes the eclipse on April 8th impacted me. I’ve been lethargic even without seeing the 4 minutes of the most intense darkness. My mood feels like a tequila hangover. The experts report…..”Eclipse Hangover is a feeling of grogginess, fatigue, or crankiness that some people experience after a solar or lunar eclipse. It’s believed to be a result of the intense energy that surrounds these celestial events, and it can leave people feeling overwhelmed or drained. Some experts even say that eclipses can force us to confront our inner disruptions and how we respond to unexpected changes.”

This sums up what I reported feeling to my husband. Not “cranky”, my word was I feel turned “OFF”. Some say the effects will wear off by April 15th. My symptoms are real. My recovery is now excellerated by some pool time. Routine interrupted, but getting back into my upbeat groove now.
