My dad used to make the best biscuits and gravy so in dad’s memory, his recipe has morphed into my KETO lifestyle.
KETO gravy ingredients:
8 slices bacon, 3 tbsp bacon drippings
1 medium white onion (110 g / 3.9 oz)
1 teaspoons minced garlic (jar of garlic, makes it easy)
1 teaspoon brown gravy package mix
¼ cup heavy whipping cream or coconut milk (60 ml / 2 fl oz)
1 cup bone broth or chicken stock or vegetable stock
½ tsp almond flour
salt and pepper to taste (I like pink Himalayan salt)
Directions: fry 8 strips of bacon till crispy, remove and use scissors to clip bacon into bacon bits. Fry chopped onion in bacon drippings. Add wet and dry ingredients over medium heat. Pour gravy in a jar to blend with a hand blender until smooth and creamy. Pour into gravy boat and stir in the bacon bits. When done, serve over a KETO BAGELS , roasted vegetables over fried chicken or let it cool down and store covered and refrigerated for up to 5 days. Reheat as needed.
